Ontario Hockey Academy Gutted In Fire

Yesterday evening the Ontario Hockey Academy experienced a fire in the student dorms.  Roughly 100 students escaped safely.

The students were moved to a nearby hotel for the night, and community businesses were donating supplies to assist in getting them through this emergency.

Many student however lost travel documents in the fire and will now have to work with their governments to ensure they can head home as they had planned.

Today was to be the last scheduled day of the school year and the new year does not begin until September.  This gives the OHA time to decide if they can move forward and if so, how to move forward.

TJHN will update this story as more information becomes available.
