Gamblers Forward Commits to University of Vermont

Green Bay Gamblers forward Kevin Irwin has committed to play collegiate hockey at the University of Vermont following his USHL career.

Irwin is in his first season with the Gamblers and has produced 28 points (16g, 12a) and a plus-six rating through 36 games. His 16 goals are the fourth most on the team. Three times this season he has recorded multi-point games, including in consecutive contests on December 1st vs. Indiana and December 7th vs. Des Moines which were both victories for Green Bay. The 19-year-old native of Hinckley, Ohio has found the back of the next in three of his last four games.

It is the third season in the USHL for Irwin after putting up 35 points (21g, 14a) in 83 total games the past two years with the Des Moines Buccaneers.

The University of Vermont is a member of Hockey East and has 14 USHL alumni on the roster this season; Ben Albertson (Indiana Ice), Connor Brickley (Des Moines Buccaneers), Anthony DeCenzo (Tri-City Storm), H.T.
