GoldMiners Add Three Forwards

The Kirkland Lake Gold Miners are pleased to announce that they have signed forward Logan Fredericks from Millstone Township, New Jersey. Fredericks , born in 1995 is a 5′ 11″ , 170 lb skilled, gritty forward will be expected to bring a lot of offence to the team. Fredericks played last season for the Jersey Shores Whalers of the USPHL, where he scored 41 goals and added 26 assists in 36 games. Logan also averaged better than 2 pts per game in the playoffs. Coach Lafleur expects Logan to be “one of our offensive leaders”.

The Gold Miners also would like to announce that they have acquired the playing rights of Konner Madsen from the Castlegar Rebels Jr.B hockey club in the KIJHL. Last season Konnor scored 11 goals & added 9 assists in 49 games. GM and head coach Marc Lafleur commented that he is pleased to be able to add the gritty 5’ 11”, 1996 birth year forward. Madsen’s hometown is Kelowna, BC.

And, the Gold Miners have signed high scoring forward Brayden Stortz for the 2015-16 season.  The 1996 born from Welland, ON led  the Welland Jr. Canadians in scoring last season, with 17 goals & 25 assists for 42 pts in 37 games, while also picking up 71 pims. Brayden also added 14 pts in 10 playoff games. Head coach and GM Marc Lafleur expects Stortz to help carry the offense for the Gold Miners this coming season.
