Patrick McNally Reinstated at Harvard

Patrick McNally has been reinstated at Harvard University following a year long suspension, for his involvement in the 2012 Harvard cheating scandal.

McNally was found to have “plagiarized answers or inappropriately collaborated on the class’s final take-home exam.”

McNally’s Harvard teammates Max Everson, Mark Luzar and Stephen Michalek were able to play junior hockey during their suspensions.  McNally had to sit out the rest of the 2012-13 season because he no longer had junior eligibily at 21 years of age.

Although he had an opportunity to turn pro, the Vancouver Canucks prospect wanted to complete his commitment to Harvard and the Coaching staff.  Electing to sit for a season is no small decision, and is seen as an indication of McNally’s true character.

The six-foot two, two hundred pound defenseman is seen as a prospect with upside by the Vancouver organization.  The fourth round pick of the 2010 entry draft is offensively gifted as well as big.  Known for his heavy shot and exceptional passing skills, McNally will likely be headed to the American Hockey League at the end of the 2013-2014 Harvard season.

TJHN will update this story as more information becomes available.
