Alberta Junior Hockey League selects FASTHockey as its Digital Media Partner

The Alberta Junior Hockey League (http://www.ajhl.ca) and FASTHockey (http://www.fasthockey.com) announced today a full digital media partnership supporting the leagues initiatives for years to come. Fans across Canada and around the globe will be treated to an immersive digital experience across an array of digital media platforms.

"The Alberta Junior Hockey League is thrilled to partner with FASTHockey and provide our fans and teams a new and advanced Pay Per View experience," stated AJHL President Craig T. Cripps. "AJHL Pay Per View allows each team to create its own ‘Hockey Night in Canada’ production and the new technology offered by FASTHockey will create unlimited opportunities for creativity and entertainment value."

The cornerstone to the agreement rests on FASTHockey’s video platform which boasts breathtaking video; instant game archival for on-demand playback; personal video recorder like features including the ability to pause, rewind, or fast forward a live game; user generated instant replays allowing fans to create and save their own highlights, and full social integration.

“I am thrilled to partner with such a forward thinking league in areas that stretch far beyond live and on-demand webcasting,” said Marc Ruskin, President of FASTHockey, “Supporting the league, teams, and players with our suite of services is the ultimate fulfillment of our mission to empower all FASTHockey visitors with a rich tool set.”

In addition to providing broadcast best practices education, FASTHockey will assume an active role in the assuring the highest possible production values for AJHL broadcast. The company will ship state of the art streaming video hardware and software equipment to each AJHL venue and consult with each individual organization on ways to improve overall production quality—from cameras to switchers to audio mixing boards.

The AJHL league office, officiating supervisors, and teams will have full access to FASTHockey’s Content Editing and Syndication suite— a proprietary online solution empowering users with the ability to cut, edit, share, and syndicate clips supporting all aspects of ice hockey digital media distribution—from websites to blogs to popular social media platforms.

“Extending our reach across Canada, the AJHL is an exciting addition to our broadcast line-up joining great partners that include Hockey Canada. We look forward to supporting leagues of all levels with our solution– built by hockey people for hockey people,” concluded Ruskin.
