Billy Faust headed to UVM

Billy Faust, a goalie from California playing in the British Columbia Hockey League has committed to the University of Vermont men’s hockey team.

Hailing from Alta Loma, Calif., Billy is playing for the Nanaimo Clippers in the BCHL. He has a 2.77 goals-against average and a .914 save percentage.

Faust, 20, is 5-foot-11.

UVM head coach Kevin Sneddon cannot comment on a recruit until the student-athlete has been admitted to UVM and signed an NCAA letter of intent.

Vermont, which has two senior goalies in Rob Madore and John Vazzano, earlier received a commitment from 6-foot-3 goalie Brody Hoffman of Fort McMurray in the Alberta Junior Hockey League. Sophomore Alex Vazzano is the only underclass goalie with UVM.
