Opole HK, is preparing for the 2021-2022 season, and is pleased to announce that Brad Zangs has joined the team as Head Coach.

Zangs hails from Rosemount Minnesota and has over thirty two years of coaching experience from High School, to Tier II Junior A, and on to the professional hockey.

Coach Zangs brings with him experience in the NAHL, AWHL, SIJHL, and other Canadian junior leagues. Coach Zangs has been part of a College National championship team, along with winning two State Tournaments at the AAA level.

“Our first season in Opole was very successful. Finishing in second place in our first season, while preparing players to move on to professional hockey as well as seeing some return to North America to play Tier II is what the program is all about.” Said Owner and General Manager Joseph Kolodziej

“While I have enjoyed the last few months of being more involved with players on the ice and supporting their development, bringing Zangs in as our Head Coach simply makes the most sense. It will allow each of us to do what we do best in our player development model.”

Coach Zangs has been a part of helping over 180 players play Division One college hockey, with some of those players having gone to play in the NHL, AHL, & ECHL.

“I want to help player reach their goals in hockey weather that’s playing in College or the Pro’s” Said Zangs from his home in Minnesota “I am already out recruiting and preparing for next season. With our returning players in Opole, we fully expect to win a championship this year, while giving players opportunity to succeed in a system developed to give them the best of every training resource.”
