CPJHL Showcase Wrap Up

Near blizzard conditions weren’t going to stop the eight member teams of the Canadian Premier Junior Hockey League from getting to Sault Ste. Marie Michigan.

On slate were seventeen games over three days with an additional game played between the Soo Eagles and Espanola Express of the NOJHL.  Pullar Stadium was very busy for these last few days.

In their first year, the CPJHL wanted an opportunity to show their players to scouts, while exposing new potential players to what the league is becoming.

Scouts from NCAA, ACHA, NAHL, NOJHL, Tier III and Midget AAA teams all turned out despite blizzard conditions and road closures.

While the teams were competing, and wins and losses did count in the standings, the real mission of the event was exposure.  That mission was accomplished.

As a first year league, the CPJHL has taken the hard lessons of unsuccessful leagues and used those to develop successful systems designed to avoid other leagues pitfalls.

The primary focus of the CPJHL?  People.  When you put people first, all the other success you hope to achieve will eventually follow.

The CPJHL would like to thank all those involved in putting on a successful event, and they look forward to the future.
