Kirkland Lake Gold Miners Add Defenseman Ben Lamm

KL GoldMiners Head Coach & GM Ryan Wood is pleased to announce the addition of 19 yr old American defenseman Benjamin Lamm.

The 5’9″, 170 lb, right handed shooter, spent the last 2 seasons with the Fox Motors U18 squad in Michigan, in the Tier 1 Elite Hockey League, where he led his club’s defensemen in scoring with 13 pts in 25 games.

Ben describes himself as ” a good skating, puck moving defenseman.” As for how and why he chose Kirkland Lake, Ben says, ” he couldn’t pass up the opportunity to play in an historic hockey town.” As well, “Coach Wood has a track record of  putting together winning teams.” Ben says he is, ” looking forward to being a part of the Kirkland Lake community.”

Coach Wood is ecstatic over the signing saying, ” Ben is a steady, puck-moving dman, that will take a hit to make a play.”  Coach Wood adds, “he’ll be a great fit, adding some offence from our back end.”
