NAHL Soo Eagles

The Soo Eagles are NAHL bound. An announcement is expected when Ron Lavin arrives in town later this week. A meeting has been scheduled at the Pullar Center for Friday, it is yet unclear if this will be an official press conference or a meeting with key people in the Soo area.

Meetings took place today that confirmed the move to the NAHL for the Eagles. It is expected, but not confirmed that the Eagles will subsidized travel for visiting teams as part of the agreement.

The NAHL division the Eagles will play in is expected to consist of Chicago, Port Huron, Kalamazoo and Jamestown.

This is a "done deal" according to on surce involved. Baring any last minute issues at closing an official statement should be made soon.

It is expected that bids to purchase the NOJHL franchise will be made shortly from at least three different groups. This franchise could be moved to any one of three or four different cities within Michigan.
