Opole HK – Mason Meyer Signs For 2021-2022 Season

Opole HK continues signing new players and re-signing players from last years Silver Medal winning team.

Mason Meyer joins Opole HK from one of the United States most prestigious Tier I U-18 AAA teams the Des Moines Buccaneers.

Meyer is taking his high compete game to Opole Poland and foregoing other opportunities in the United States to play at the Tier II level. Seeing Opole as an opportunity to compete for more time in the net while experiencing an advanced development program.

“Mason not only played U-18 AAA but he played in the world renown Minnesota High School league.” Said Opole HK Head Coach Brad Zangs “Mason regularly saw shooters that will one day be NCAA Division I and NHL players. That kind of experience will serve him well as he comes over to Europe.”

“Mason is an athletic goaltender who can aggressively challenge shooters, and brings a high compete level to every practice.” Said Assistant/Goaltending Coach Pat Schwartz “We are looking forward to getting him into our goaltending room, working with the other guys, and bringing a great competitive energy to the net.”

Opole HK is signing new players and looking for a few more Forwards and Defense to round out the 2021-2022 roster. Main training camp will open in Opole on August 1, 2021 with pre season, and showcase games scheduled before the start of the regular season in September.
