Opole HK – Play Safe Stay Safe – Signs Dominic Houle

The Play Safe Stay Safe program launching in Opole Poland for the 2020-2021 is pleased to announce that Dominic Houle has committed to take his talents to Europe.

The Canadian Defenseman was next in line to turn in his contract and is excited about the challenge of playing on the larger ice surface next season.

Houle most recently competed in the Northern Alberta Hockey League with the U-18 Maple Leaf Athletic Club and Bellingham. The smooth skating, point producing Defenseman is looking forward to the challenge of playing against different countries and on a bigger ice surface.

The hulking 6’3″ and 215 lb blueliner produced 35 points in 32 regular season games last season and another 10 points in 6 playoff games.

Seeing how many top players are coming from Europe now, the Canadian wanted to challenge himself by facing Europes top forwards.

The 2002 birth year player is looking forward to the opportunity to be seen by junior and professional scouts from around Europe representing European and North American teams.

With the uncertainty in Canada and the United States right now, Houle felt the Play Safe Stay Safe program allowed for him to have the best opportunity to enjoy an uninterrupted 2020 2021 season.
