The Play Safe Stay Safe program launching in Opole Poland for the 2020-2021 is pleased to announce that Oskar Bak has committed to taking his talents to his home town of Opole Poland
The Polish Defenseman is joining the roster of talented players who have already arrived in Opole Poland. Oskar sought out the Management team of Opole HK after his contract with Torun had expired.
Oskar Bak left Opole five years ago to develop his game in Lodz and then Torun Poland. The offensive defenseman put up 36 points in 34 games last season.
Bak has been coached by Polish and Russian coaches the last few seasons, and came to Opole HK wanting to learn the North America style of training and playing.
Widely viewed as one of the best young defensemen in Poland, Bak brings smooth skating and puck movement to the blue line in Opole.
“We are very excited to have Oskar join the team.” Said Head Coach Todd White “Getting a local player involved was important for us as an organization. Having a player of his caliber just makes our team more competitive and will help get local fans interested in what we are building in Opole.”
The 2001 birth year player is looking forward to the opportunity to be seen by junior and professional scouts from around Europe representing European and North American teams.
