Benoit most recently competed in the WSHL with the Valencia Flyers and Bellingham Blazers. The stay at home shot blocking Defenseman is looking forward to the challenge of playing against different countries and on a bigger ice surface.
Seeing how many top players are coming from Europe now, the Canadian wanted to challenge himself by facing Europes top forwards.
The 2001 birth year player is looking forward to the opportunity to be seen by junior and professional scouts from around Europe representing European and North American teams.
With the uncertainty in Canada and the United States right now, Friedenberg felt the Play Safe Stay Safe program allowed for him to have the best opportunity to enjoy an uninterrupted 2020 2021 season.
