Opole HK Season Wrap Up And Awards

All good things come to an end, and the 2020-2021 season is one of them. Opole HK, the concept of having a team made up of nearly all North American players, had never been done before in Europe. Accomplishing this and competing in Europe all year is a historical first.

Finishing the season in second place, while competing against teams that have been playing together for years, is a success by anyone’s standards.

Opole HK team Captain Jonah Henderson lead the league in scoring while leading Opole HK on and off the ice. Jonah Henderson has been named Opole HK Most Valuable Player, and Forward of The Year for the 2020-2021 Season.

James Spence from Glenrothes Scotland has been named Opole HK Rookie of The Year. Starting the season on the third line, James continued to improve his game, and elevate his compete level, finishing the season with 24 points in 21 games.

Ethan Ranger from Raleigh North Carolina has been named Opole HK Most Improved Player. From the beginning of the season to the end, no one worked harder off the ice, and no one was more willing to learn that Ethan Ranger.

Sean Tallon from Pembroke Ontario has been named Opole HK Defenseman of The Year. Quarterbacking the Power Play and a regular on the Penalty Kill, Tallon accounted for 20 points in 21 games leading all Opole HK Defensemen.

As the 2020-2021 season ends, the 2021-2022 season begins. Opole HK Head Coach Brad Zangs is already out recruiting and signing players. Those new player and returning player signing announcements will begin on TJHN next week.
