Opole HK Signs Defenseman Ryan Patton

Opole HK has signed Canadian Defenseman Ryan Patton for the 2021-2022 season.

“Ryan brings a great reputation, and great work ethic to our program.” Said Opole HK Head Coach Brad Zangs “He’s a stay at home, shot blocking, get the puck out of the zone with a good pass kind of player. We have been looking for players to fill specific roles for next season, and Ryan fits exactly what we were looking for.”

Having played in the USPHL Premier the last two seasons, Ryan will be elevating his game, and taking his shut down defensive play to the larger ice surfaces of Europe.

“Ryan is a highly intelligent person. He studies the game, and the position. We like his ability to play against the other teams top forwards and work on the penalty kill. These skills and abilities will be developed further though our rigorous on and off ice training program, and our state of the art technology.”

When asked why he committed to Opole HK so early in the off season Ryan replied;

“I know where I want to play. I don’t want to waste time and money going to camps and trying out when I already have a great team that wants me. I can spend my summer working and getting stronger in the gym. A lot less to think about and a lot more time to work on getting stronger at home this summer.”

Ryan will be joining the other new and returning players on August 1, 2021 in Opole to get the new season started.
