SIJHL Champions Relocate July 27, 2012 9:30 AM

The Wisconsin Wilderness have put a solid product on the ice and in the community of Spooner Wisconsin for the last few years. Bringing two Championships to the area and moving players on to college at the same time.

With rumors swirling of an arena sale or closure in Spooner, the team is left with little choice. So, the defending Superior International Junior Hockey League champions will be leaving Spooner and relocating to Cloquet Minnesota for the 2012-13 season.

The team will be renamed Minnesota Wilderness will play at the Cloquet Area Recreation Center.An official announcement will come at a news conference next week in Cloquet.
