Hey kids, its Friday and I am heading out the door to hit some of the rinks this weekend. Hell yeah, the Angel of Death scouting tour continues!
But before I ran out, I was sent some real interesting news from one of our avid readers up in Ontario. You’re gonna love this stuff.
So we are always preaching on TJHN about player movement up. We have the same feelings about coaches and other team staff moving up. Its simple, if you can move up, do it! Whats so freakin hard to understand about players and staff wanting to move to higher levels of hockey?!
We all know there are tons of teams out there that don’t move players up for their own selfish reasons. Some aren’t just selfish they’re just plain stupid. You know, like thinking a pay to play team is just as good as or better than a free to play team? But I digress.
So, the Head Coach of the Junior C Dundas Blues just got offered a job with the Junior B Cambridge Winter Hawks. Sweet deal right? Coach moves up, and now the Junior C team has someone at a higher level who already knows the organization and has seen the players in it! Awesome for development and call ups right?
Nope.
The morons with the Junior C team want to try to say the Junior B team tampered with the organization by hiring the coach for a higher level. Basically publicly admitting that moving the coach up the ranks isn’t what they wanted and now they are inconvenienced! Poor little fella’s.
Gimme a break will ya! Are you gonna do the same things if higher level teams want to call your players up? Where’s your commitment to development? Ummmmmm yeah, probably the same place you put your last pizza box, in the trash.
Just another example of a fine organization here kids. And just in case you didn’t know it, coaches cant be tampered with by being offered a job.
