TJHN Showcase Produces Results

April 27th saw the TJHN Showcase open with player sign in, jersey pick up and coach registration. Ninety Eight players representing Twenty Eight different Junior, Midget, and High School leagues were assembled. Players from seventeen different States, Canada, Russia, Austria and the Czeck Republic were set to show their talents in front of scouts from across the country.

The players came, the scouts came, and nearly every player attending can expect to receive an offer from one team or another. Nearly half of the players wont have to wait for a phone call this week, as they received offers before leaving the Showcase.

Scouts from NCAA, USHL, NAHL, NA3HL, NorPAC, AWHL, MNJHL, EJHL, EmJHL, GLJHL, and the NOJHL did not leave disappointed. NAHL main camp invitations were provided to several players, Tier III tenders were issued, and college scouts increased their scouting lists for next season.

The level of competition was "the best I have seen at a showcase in years" said one NAHL team. "The talent level was far above any other event I have been to in the last few years." Said one AWHL team. "I could build my complete team from this one event." Said one NA3HL team. "I may be able to fill my remaining spots on my EJ and Empire teams." Said another Executive.

Competition the ice was fast and fierce. Games were very close in scoring as the teams were balanced based on thirteen months of pre scouting by TJHN staff and appropriate player combinations being made prior to and during games. Competition off the ice with recruiting was just as fast and fierce between Coaches, General Managers and Owners as they made their best presentations to recruits.

Fast Hockey viewrs from across the country have contacted TJHN and gave great reviews on broadcast quality and presentation. Every game started on time and viewers raved at the speed and quality of the video delivery. As TJHN begins conversion to www.juniorhockeynews.com this week look for more Fast Hockey Broadcasts and Feature Presentations.

Video Archives of the games are available on Fast Hockey. Photos of the event are being edited for the newly designed website and will be available as we launch. Scouts who were unable to attend may watch the archives and contact TJHN for player information.

The next TJHN Pre Draft Showcase will take place April 19th through April 21st in 2013. Qualified players may register through showcase@thejuniorhockeynews.com Registration is now open.

Stay tuned for the TJHN Pre Season Showcase to be hosted as both a team and individual event this fall. Teams will be guaranteed a minimum three games. A round robin tournament format will be used. Announcements will be made later this week.

Finally TJHN would like to thank the players, parents, referee’s, arena staff, pro shop staff, and all the teams who participated. We hope you enjoyed the event as much as we did.
