TJHN Showcase Summary

With the 2013 TJHN Pre Draft Showcase now in the books, we would like to thank the NCAA, ACHA, USHL, OHL, USPHL, NAHL, NOJHL, MNJHL, NA3HL, Met JHL, EJHL and EmJHL Scouts and Coaches that attended the event.

We would also like to thank our sponsors, Total Hockey, American Heartland Arena, and Hockey Talent Management.

Without our head referee Chris Roe, none of this would have been possible.  The former NFL lineman had his hands full all weekend working a total of 11 games himself.

We would also like to thank all of the players and parents who make this event possible every year.

While the 2012 Pre Draft was a great success, the 2013 Pre Draft exceeded all expectations.  The level of play included current Tier II players, several USHL draft prospects, many Tier III all stars, and nearly two dozen of  North America’s finest Midget players.

What are parents saying?

“the best showcase that we have been to in the last couple of years. This is based on cost, numbers of players and ice team available per kid per team, quality of talent you had selected, ice time slots available, and number of games played.”

What are players saying?

“Thank you for inviting me.  I have never received so much attention from scouts at any other event.  I came with no offers, and I am leaving with five.  This was just amazing.”

What are scouts saying?

USHL scout – “You never know what youre going to get at these events.  I was in town so I figured I would watch while I could.  Pretty impressive actually.  There were probably close to a dozen players I had never heard of that could potentially play in the league.  We will definitely be sending out some camp invites.”

NAHL scout – “At least two dozen players that could make it in the NAHL right now.  Probably another two dozen that will make it a year or two from now.  Nice group of players from top to bottom.  Something for everyone here.”

Tier III scout – “If you cant build a team at this event you just arent capable of building a team.  The best showcase I have been to this spring.  I missed it last year and I wont miss it again.”

Midget AAA scout – “The players that still have some time left for Midget, were top end players.  There were no role players here, we are talking top end players that should make it to higher levels.”

With this years event over, we took one day off yesterday and will be getting to work on next years event today.  The 2014 Pre Draft Showcase will be bigger, better, and feature more of the worlds finest Junior players and prospects.  We hope to see you there.
