The Odesssa Jackalopes of the NAHL have been struggling. Its no secret that the losses have been many and that there is a desperate need for some help.
Yesterday swome of that help arrived at Midland Airport. Enter Brett Wagner. Wagner made the Wenatchee Wild team out of training camp, but after an injury set him back he was off the ice. Once able to get back on the ice, the only place for him to go was the Boston Jr. Rangers in the Atlantic Junior Hockey League.
Since his return from injury Wagner has put up an impressive set of numbers. 22 games played, 16 goals, 7 assistsand a +28, with only 5 penalty minutes.
Wagner is a complete player accoring to all scouts that have seen him. A great skater who can obviously score goals, but who also knows how to play the defensive game.
Wagner is the definition of “student athlete”. Carrying a 3.6 GPA, an astonishing 32 on his ACT, and an equally impressive 1950 on his SAT, wagner is surely a player many colleges will continue to watch.
