Wenatchee takes care of Amarillo early, wins 7-0

The Amarillo Bulls fell behind early, and the Wenatchee Wild kept piling on the points on the way to a 7-0 victory.

The win gave Wenatchee a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Wild were sparked by Trevor Stewart, who racked up one goal. Stewart scored 36 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Wenatchee. Joseph Sullivan picked up the assist.

Wenatchee excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances.

Wenatchee also got points from Noah Nelson, who also had one goal and one assist, Jono Davis, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Sullivan, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Wenatchee also got a goal from Joshua Hartley as well. Other players who recorded assists for Wenatchee were Dylan Abood, who had two and David Mead, Chris Kerr, Jacob Barber, and Derick Kuchera, who each chipped in one.

Amarillo was led by Omar Mullan, who took three shots.

Robert Nichols rejected 18 shots on goal for the Wild. Wenatchee incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Collin Delia made 15 saves before being replaced by Paul Berrafato, who took the loss and made six saves. The Bulls incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with 10 minors.
