North Iowa Bulls Repeat As NA3HL Silver Cup Champions

Tim Santopoalo registered two points to lead the North Iowa Bulls to a 3-0 victory over the Flint Junior Generals.

 

The win gave North Iowa a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Bulls forced Flint goalie Anders Franke to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots. North Iowa did not rack up many penalties in the contest, finishing with only one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

Others who scored for North Iowa included Rihards Marenis and Wesley Iverson, who scored one goal each. Other players who recorded assists for North Iowa were Joe Kleven, Chancie Hanson, Zach Jones, and Matt Kroska, who contributed one each.

The Junior Generals did not rack up many penalties in the contest, racking up a minimal one minor for two minutes in penalty time.

 

Chris Amsden rejected 21 shots on goal for the Bulls. North Iowa registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Flint’s Franke stopped 39 shots out of the 42 that he faced. The Junior Generals registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
