Amarillo Dominates Wenatchee For NAHL Title

The Amarillo Bulls had a four-goal lead after two periods and cruised the rest of the way en route to a 5-0 win over the Wenatchee Wild.

The win gave Amarillo a 1-0 lead in the best of one series.

The Bulls were led by Joe Grabowski, who grabbed one goal. Grabowski scored on the power play 7:32 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Amarillo. Amarillo earned a power play opportunity when David Mead was put in the box for checking from behind. Clint Carlisle provided the assist.

The Bulls stifled Wenatchee’s power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Amarillo also got points from Tyler Deresky, who also had one goal and one assist and Omar Mullan, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Amarillo also got a goal from Ryan Cole as well. More assists for Amarillo came via TJ Sarcona, who had one and Matt Sieckhaus, who had two.

The Wild were led by Max McHugh, who took three shots.

Paul Berrafato rejected 16 shots on goal for Amarillo. The Bulls incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Robert Nichols made 19 saves for Wenatchee on 24 shots. The Wild incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
