Vanbiesbrouck And Ferraro Brothers In Muskegon As Pending New Ownership Group

While it is unclear what role John Vanbiesbrouck will play in the USHL’s Muskegon Lumberjacks, the new team operating the franchise is in Muskegon en-force.

The Ferraro Brothers and Vanbiesbrouck began the week addressing “open camp” players this afternoon.

Vanbiesbrouck stated he will be moving to Muskegon to “operate the hockey club on and off the ice”.  From the sound of his address to players, he will be very active in assisting in all area’s of player development.  Vanbiesbrouck later stated that he will be involved with the ownership of the team.

The Ferraro brothers also addressed the players and committed to keeping the team in Muskegon.  They expressed excitement about the opportunity that Muskegon presents and are 100% committed to winning a Clark Cup Championship in Muskegon.

As reported by TJHN last week, Joel and Ronald Friedman are also set to be involved in the pending ownership transfer.

It was made clear to all players that new Head Coach Todd Krygier will be picking the team and that he has set up the evaluation process for all players.

Coach Krygier addressed the players as well and advised all players to relax and remember to have fun.  Injury protocols were established, and conduct standards were also explained.

The Lumberjacks as an Organization are taking this transition in their usual professional stride.  All staff were on hand, and well organized as usual.

Things are looking good in Muskegon and the future of the franchise is in the hands of quality experienced people with solid goals and realistic expectations.
