Vipers forward Blacklock lands opportunity at Michigan Tech

The Vernon Vipers are pleased to announce that Mason Blacklock has committed to Michigan Tech University following his junior career.

“Mason has become an elite player in the BCHL and will progress into a very good college hockey player,” said Vipers head coach and general manager Jason Williamson. “Since his arrival in Vernon. he has been one of our most consistent and dangerous players. We will be looking for Mason to be one of our leaders both on and off the ice as we head into the start of the 2013/2014 season.

“Mason has worked very hard to become the player he is,” Williamson continued. “He is very deserving of this and I look forward to watching him grow as a player this year. He will definitely be one of our go to guys and someone we will lean on going into the 2014 Royal Bank Cup.”

Blacklock is one of six BCHL players currently committed to Michigan Tech. The Huskies compete at the Division I level of NCAA hockey and currently have eight BCHL alums on their roster.
