Brent Sutter is back behind the bench again.

Sutter, the owner and general manager of the Western Hockey League’s Red Deer Rebels, fired coach Jesse Wallin on Tuesday and will take over on an interim basis, according to the team’s website.

The Rebels were fifth in the WHL’s Central Division at 10-11-1-1.

Sutter wasnt done with making changes either when he sent the Rebels’ leading scorer, Charles Inglis, home to Saskatoon to wait for a trade.

When asked about Inglis, "He’s being sent home [to Saskatoon] to await a trade. If nothing happens he’ll go on waivers next week, and if there’s no interest then he’ll play with a junior A team if he wishes." Said Sutter.

Inglis was acquired from the Prince George Cougars last December and was accompanied by a bit of personal baggage. The Cougars, who acquired inglis from the Saskatoon Blades a year earlier, had sent him home to await a trade. History has a way of repeating itself.

Though no one has come right out and said why Sutter decided that Inglis was no longer a fit with the Rebels, sources have suggested that there was a problem with the 20-year-old forward in regard to team chemistry. Some have said privately that Inglis was a negative influence in the dressing room when he needed to be a leader.

Sutter takes over on the ice and will be running practices this week. How long will he keep the "interim" tag he has given himself? That is anybodys guess, it probably depends on how much success he has early on.
