IceDogs Pink in the Rink Jersey Auction Coming Later This Week!

By OHL Network

The Niagara IceDogs once again hosted their annual Pink in the Rink game against the Saginaw Spirit back on Saturday, January 26th at the Gatorade Garden City Complex.

The event was held in conjunction with the Canadian Cancer Society and had a number of special fundraising initiatives happening in support of women’s cancer research.

The IceDogs once again wore special commemorative Pink in the Rink jerseys, which will be auctioned off through niagaraicedogsauction.com starting later this week, with all proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society and women’s cancer research.

In addition to the special jerseys, there was also a Pink in the Rink puck drop, donation collection, cupcake sale and various pink merchandise for sale. The merchandise sales went very well and interested fans who missed out on the limited edition Pink in the Rink hats at the game can still pick one up at the IceDogs 35 Queen St. office for only $20. All proceeds from the sale of the cupcakes and all Pink in the Rink merchandise went towards the Canadian Cancer Society.

With a sellout crowd in attendance, Saturday night was once again a great night in support of a great cause. The game has already raised a great deal of money for women’s cancer research and we hope to raise a whole lot more through the jersey auction. With over $16,000 raised in the auction a year ago, IceDogs fans have set the bar high for this year’s auction, but with your help we hope to match or surpass that total this year!
