NCDC Players Of The Week: Mountain Division

Week of Nov. 19, 2024

Games of Nov. 12-18, 2024

Forward: Brody Simko, Ogden Mustangs

Simko (‘04/Butler, Pa.) became the Ogden Mustangs’ all-time leading NCDC scorer for their two seasons in the league when he scored his 67th point – and then added his 68th – during a four-point showing for the Mustangs against the Casper Warbirds this past weekend. He passed former Mustang Parker Osborn, the previous team scoring record-holder, during this season in which he has 25 points. He co-leads the NCDC in points, and he is also tied for first in goals with 14.

Defense: Edvin Edlund, Rock Springs Grizzlies

Edlund (‘05/Ostersund, Sweden) helped the Grizzlies to earn points in a third and fourth straight game this past weekend, going 3-0-1-0. He has put up three straight two-point games, and he now has 11 points in 17 games for the season.

Goaltender: Charlie Durkin, Idaho Falls Spud Kings

Durkin (‘06/Glencoe, Ill.) was strong in his pair of wins against the Pueblo Bulls, stopping 51 of 53 for a .962 save percentage. He has won his last three games in a row overall to improve to 7-4-1-0.

Rookie: Sean Boltin, Casper Warbirds

Boltin (‘05/Chicago, Ill.) was dishing out the helpers this weekend, putting up three assists in the two game against the Ogden Mustangs. The past three seasons has seen Boltin move from the USPHL Elite to the USPHL Premier and now to success in the NCDC, a shining example of USPHL Advancement In Action.

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
