Oh yeah kids, its that time of year when teams start running out of money and stop paying the bills. But hey its not the teams fault! Its all you damn parents that don’t pay your bills on time in the pay to play leagues!
Yep, it usually this time of year that we begin to hear who may not be coming back for the next season, and which teams may be switching leagues for next season.
The great news is that now you get to hear it too!
Oh snap, ya hear that? Its the sound of some teams breaking away from their current leagues……
Word on the street today kid is that the Western States Hockey League has announced that they will be expanding to Aurora Colorado, Casper Wyoming, and Oklahoma City.
What hasn’t been said yet is that three teams from the WSHL, specifically the Mid Western Division are allegedly moving over to the North America 3 Hockey League.
That’s right, so if these new expansion teams are planning on playing some of the existing ones and that’s in their business plan……..As my good friend Homer Simpson would say ……DUH! HA HA HA
Another rumor has a few of these WSHL teams on the selling blocks. Yep, you too can own your own Tier III team in the middle of the desert, mountains, or some other place many consider no-where. Don’t mean to offend there kids, I am sure the climate extremes in many of these cities are considered perfectly normal for those who have always lived there. Me……I like my sand wet, not scorching, and my snow to only stick around for the months that are actually winter months.
Oh hey, I almost forgot, it looks like there might be some more pay to play expansion in the Mid West. Not too sure where year, but we have hear Michigan and Illinois. Shocker!!!!! HA HA HA
Yeah, like Michigan and Illinois need more pay to play hockey. It’s not like these two states don’t have enough options. That’s about as smart as snapping a football by the side of your quarterbacks head to start the Super Bowl! HA HA HA
