Northwest Division 

Forward: Reid Taylor, Iron County Yeti

Taylor (‘06/Morrison, Colo.) was massive over the past weekend against Colorado and Vernal, putting up four goals – two in each game – plus four assists for eight points. He is currently enjoying a five-game point streak that has seen him put up 13 points. He leads the Yeti in scoring with 26 points in 13 games and he’s also seen four games up with the NCDC’s Rock Springs Grizzlies – USPHL Advancement In Action! 

 

Defense: Marek Mraz, Iron County Yeti

Mraz (‘06/Kolin, Czechia) put up his second hat trick of this season on Dec. 8 against the Fighting Elk, and added an assist for a four-point weekend. He has improved to 20 points in 19 games, and has also seen time up with the Grizzlies. 

 

Goaltender: Cole Fennema, Seattle Totems

Fennema (‘04/Colleyville, Texas) is becoming the shutout king with his fifth of the season, leading the USPHL Premier in that category. He stopped all 29 shots he faced on Sunday, Dec. 8. That was his second straight doughnut as well. 

 

Pacific Division

Forward: Kai Tsoar, Ventura Vikings

Since joining the first-year Vikings in November, Tsoar (‘04/Calabasas, Calif.) stopped two goals and added three assists for five points in a split weekend against Henderson. He is on a five-game winning streak with 13 points, and he has 15 points overall in eight games. 

 

Defense: Jett McCullum, Ventura Vikings

McCullum (‘04/Moncton, N.B.) is also on a big scoring streak, putting up 11 points in his last five games from the blue line. Also like Tsoar, he had a five-point run against Henderson with a 1-4-5 line. McCullum, a four-year junior veteran with Canadian Tier II experience, has improved to 23 points in 20 games. 

 

Goaltender: Brasco Cirillo, Ventura Vikings 

Cirillo (‘07/St. Davids, Ont.) was strong in net, shutting out the Force with 45 saves. The Vikings fell in their next game, but Cirillo still turned away 32 shots, for a weekend total of 77 saves on 82 shots, good for a .939 save percentage. 

Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to vote on the leaders, or nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
