European Roster Freeze Coming

Europe, like the United States and Canada will come out of the holiday season with roster freeze already taking place or coming soon.

Now more than ever European clubs are looking for players to replace those who head back to North America for the holiday season.

These opportunities are available for both junior and professional leagues, and there are some great opportunities available for those players looking to expand their hockey experiences on an international level.

Preparing for college? Did you know that college admissions staff specifically look for student athletes with international learning experience? Imagine learning a new language on a student visa while finishing the season and adding that experience to your resume for admissions?

College admissions are more competitive than ever before. Any edge you can get over the competition may be what makes you the more attractive enrollment candidate.

Looking to play pro in Europe when done with junior or college?

Unless you are a high level NCAA, Major Junior or NHL drafted player, the only way to get to a good league in Europe is to actually go and play in Europe. Make a name for yourself and then teams from many countries will become interested.

The hardest opportunity to get in Europe is the first opportunity to play, and if you think you will get into a good league with a high level of play without help or without playing in Europe as an amateur you know nothing about Europe.

With some countries freezing their rosters starting December 31st 2021, time is of the essence to get on a roster now and start the new year in a new location.
