The Playoff Push: Jan. 21, 2024

By USPHL Staff
In The Playoff Push, we will take a look at the busiest game days’ most integral games in regards to teams clinching playoffs or clinching specific playoff berths, as we head down the stretch toward the end of the regular season in early March.
USPHL Premier

Northwest Division
Seattle won yesterday, but didn’t clinch. Bellingham garnered a shootout point and the two teams haven’t played each other enough times to consider head to head. Today, Seattle visits Rogue Valley and Bellingham visits Lake Tahoe. A Seattle point or a Bellingham loss clinches it for the Totems.
Florida Division
Atlanta will clinch a berth in the Florida Division if they secure a point today vs. Palm Beach.
Midwest East Division
The Chicago Crush can clinch a berth in the Midwest East today with a win over Fort Wayne. A regulation loss by Decatur will have the same result. The Crush hold the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Midwest West Division
The Minnesota Blue Ox and the Minnesota Moose both earned playoff berths yesterday with a Ducks regulation loss to Isanti.
USPHL Elite

We’re approaching the three-quarter mark of games played in the league.

A win today by P.A.L. over the WBS Knights would clinch a playoff berth for the Jr. Islanders. A single point from an OT or shootout loss plus a Jersey Hitmen win at Elmira would have the same effect.
