The Dan K Show NCDC Fan’s Choice Awards Final Voting Begins

The Dan K Show has partnered with the NCDC to create a series of fan-voted awards in the National Collegiate Development Conference. Fans will now, for the first time, have the ability to vote for a Goalie, Forward, and Defenseman of the Year in the NCDC. In Round 2, fans will select between two head-to-head candidates, both the top vote-getters from Round 1. Winners will be announced during NCDC Draft Coverage on the USPHL YouTube Channel on May 13th

 

Here are the nominees for each category:

2024 NCDC Goalie of the Year

Nikita Volsky – Ogden Mustangs

Nikita Volsky was a mid-season acquisition by the Ogden Mustangs, and Volsky immediately went to work locking down the Ogden net. Posting a 2.14 GAA and a .934 SV% in the Regular Season with Ogden, Volsky helped his team reach their first ever Dineen Cup by going 7-1-0-1 with a 1.75 GAA and a .952 SV% in the playoffs.

Tucker Inabinet – Idaho Falls Spud Kings

Tucker Inabinet found his home in Idaho Falls, protecting a Spud Kings crease as they made a second half run in the regular season that saw them earn a playoff berth. With the Spud Kings, Inabinet went 11-8-0-2, with a 1.98 GAA and a .943 SV%, all while facing an average of 33.4 Shots Per Game.  

 

2024 NCDC Forward of the Year

Ty Broad – P.A.L. Jr. Islanders

Ty finished the season with the most points of any skater in the NCDC, with 25G/45A/70PTS in 50 games this season. Ty embodies the model of development in the NCDC, with each season in the league resulting in more impressive performances. Ty had 7 point (2/5/7) in 10 games played in the 2024 playoffs.

Parker Osborn – Ogden Mustangs

Parker Osborn left his mark on the Ogden Mustangs this season, averaging over a point per game with an impressive slash line (38G/28A/66PTS in 51 GP). He had an incredible playoff run in Ogden’s first ever trip to the Dineen Cup finals with a 2G/7A/9PTS line in 10 playoff games

 

2024 NCDC Defenseman of the Year

Teddie Hember – Ogden Mustangs

Teddie made a huge impact with the Mustangs this season, both on the points sheet and on the ice as a hard-hitting defenseman in the Mountain Division. Teddie was a +22 on the season, and an overall slash line of 11G/27A/38PTS in 45 regular season games.

DJ MacLeish – Idaho Falls Spud Kings

DJ played a substantial role in the Spud Kings success this season. In 50 regular season games, DJ scored 47 points (19G/28A) including 5 GWG. He was a +7 this season, combining scoring skill with a physical and hard hitting presence.
