By Charlotte Rush Staff

The Charlotte Rush are proud and excited to announce the hiring of Justin Fisher as the Elite Head Coach and Premier Assistant Coach. Coach Fisher brings a wealth of knowledge and experience with him after spending time as an Assistant Coach with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL.

In his time with Austin, he helped develop many NCAA Division I prospects, current NCAA Division I players, USHL and professional players. During his time behind the bench, he helped guide Austin to the NAHL Central Division title and eventually a Robertson Cup final appearance where they finished as Runner-Up.

Most recently, Coach Fisher served as the CPH 12U AAA Head Coach while also serving on the Rush staff as an Assistant Coach. Coach Fisher has proven himself at each level and his knowledge of the game and player development will greatly serve Charlotte players. He is a high energy and well-detailed coach that knows what it takes and how to get players to the next level. As a player, he spent five years with the Adrian College ACHA D1 team and won a National Championship in 2017-18 with the Bulldogs.

He will be an extremely valuable asset to the organization and the Rush couldn’t be more excited to welcome him aboard full time. Coach Fisher on Joining the staff full time.

“I am excited to be part of the Charlotte Rush organization. My job will be to continue preaching the culture that is the Rush, emphasizing developing not only good hockey players, but good people as well. I look forward to furthering our program’s history of winning and championships,” said Coach Fisher.

Coach Trevor Jewell also spoke about Coach Fisher stepping on full time.

“I am extremely excited to have ‘Fish’ join us full time and be here daily. Last season, he was a critical part of both team’s successes throughout the season. The energy and passion he brings is second to none, his knowledge and teaching ability will bring our players development to an even higher level. He is a great addition to a program known for advancing players and staff,” said Jewell. “I can’t wait to get the season going and see what he does with our players.”
