National Collegiate Development Conference Announces 2024-25 Regular Season Schedule Release

BOSTON, MA – July 16, 2024 – The United States Premier Hockey League (USPHL) is thrilled to announce the release of the 2024-25 regular season schedule for the National Collegiate Development Conference (NCDC). This upcoming season marks the eighth campaign of the NCDC, promising an exciting slate of games as teams vie for top honors and players look to advance to NCAA college hockey.

The season kicks off on Thursday, September 19, 2024, with a match between two of the newest NCDC members in Worcester, Mass. The Worcester Railers Junior Hockey Club will face off against the Boston Jr. Rangers in one of three Thursday games. The following day, Friday, September 20, will see the Atlantic Division openers with the Mercer Chiefs hosting the Jersey Hitmen in Hamilton, N.J., and the Rockets Hockey Club hosting the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Knights in Bridgewater, N.J. The Mountain Division will also begin its regular season on September 20, with the first game featuring the Rock Springs Grizzlies taking on the Utah Outliers

 

 

Excitement and Growth for the 2024-25 Season

“The USPHL is excited for the eighth season of the National Collegiate Development Conference. We are ready to help players develop and advance to the NCAA level of college hockey throughout the season,” said USPHL Deputy Commissioner Tony Zasowski. “With 61 players from the 2023-24 season and alumni moving up to NCAA Division I schools and more than 165 players committed to NCAA schools overall, the NCDC has established itself as a proven feeder program for the NCAA Division I level.”

In addition to the Boston Jr. Rangers and Worcester Railers Junior Hockey Club, the NCDC welcomes the Seacoast Spartans, of Exeter, N.H., West Chester Wolves, of West Chester, Pa., and the Casper Warbirds, of Casper, Wyo. The Thunder Hockey Club (former Twin City Thunder) will hit the ice in their new home of Exeter, N.H. 

Season Structure and Highlights

  • Mountain Division: 53-game regular season
  • Atlantic and New England Divisions: 54-game regular season
  • Total Regular Season Games: 664

Three highly-scouted showcases will be among the highlights of the season, featuring a total of 42 games across the Eastern and Western United States:

  • NCDC Frozen Futures Showcase: October 2-4 in Idaho Falls, Idaho
  • Jersey Hitmen Classic: October 17-21 in Wayne, N.J.
  • South Shore Kings Presidents Day Showcase: February 14-16 in Foxboro, Mass.

The NCDC/USPHL All-Star Event is scheduled for January 27-28 in Foxboro, Mass. Each NCDC Division will field a representative team, along with a Prospects team composed of younger players aiming to make a future impact in the NCDC and beyond.

The 2024-25 regular season ends on March 23, 2025, and the 2025 Dineen Cup Playoffs will begin on March 25. The 2025 Dineen Cup Championship Series will be held in Wayne, N.J., April 25-29.
