An Advisers Life – A Few Examples Of College Opportunities In Europe

Recently there has been growing interest in playing junior and/or college hockey in Europe. That interest largely comes from people who are being educated on how much less expensive it is to earn your college degree in Europe while still playing hockey.

Some people have asked just how much less expensive is it to go to college at a private English speaking university in Europe. So here are a few quick and easy examples of universities that offer Medical degrees and Computer Science degrees in one small area in Poland.

A medical degree in Medicine, Dentistry, or Pharmacy is available at the English speaking KMU University with two campus locations in Bytom and Katowice. KMU Polish Campus ENG

The cost per year for tuition is $6500.00 USD. for medicine, and Dentistry. The cost for Pharmacy is $5600.00 USD. The cost for room, board and books, approcimately $800.00 per month.

There are other opportunities, in other courses of study as well in other cities throughout Europe. Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Finland, and other countries off these opportunities to get an education for a lot less than what you may spend in the United States and Canada, all while offering the opportunity to play hockey at the same time.

In todays world, we all have to make smart decisions with our money. When it comes to getting your education, saving tens of thousands of dollars a year is a smart life decision. The difference between being able to buy a house or not may come down to how much student loan debt you have. Invesitgating these opportunities now, is what smart players are doing.

The average cost of an NCAA D-3 opportunity is $60,000.00 USD. Some NCAA D-1 schools can be more than $100,000.00 per year.

While going to college in Europe may be outside the box of traditional thinking, it is becoming a more popular option for players, and definitely a more affordable option for parents.

For those who want to play professionally in Europe in the future, this is a path that players are taking. Unless you are a high performer at the D-1 or D-3 level, this is the most direct path to professional hockey in Europe. Ninety five percent of all professional players in Europe, play junior or college hockey in Europe before playing professionally.
