Pacific Division
Forward: Shane Dean, Henderson Force
Dean (‘04/Henderson, Nev.) had a huge weekend between Oct. 18-20 against the Ventura Vikings, scoring four points in the opener, followed by four more over the next two games. In his Oct. 18 game, he scored both a power play and a shorthanded goal, and the PPG was also a game-winner. He scored four points in the two prior games before the Ventura series, giving him a run of 10 points over his last five games.
Defense: Chayce Tuton, Lake Tahoe Lakers
Tuton (‘06/White Horse, Y.T.) registered a goal and added three assists as the Lakers went 1-1-1 over three games at the start of a six-game Southern California trip. He now has 13 points in 17 games.
Goaltender: Viktor Pasztor, San Diego Sabers
Pasztor (‘06/Budapest, Hungary) earned his second and third North American wins when he took down the Ontario Jr. Reign with 52 saves on 54 shot son Oct. 18, and two days later, stopped 51 of 53 Lake Tahoe Lakers shots in a win. He is 3-3-0-0 with a .913 save percentage.
Northwest Division
Forward: Roman Wolynec, Seattle Totems
Wolynec (‘05/Langley, B.C.) continues to dominate in the scoring department, and his 43 total points are 13 more than anyone else in the Premier. Most recently, he added a 1-8-9 line over three games to that 43-point total. He has not missed the scoresheet in his 11 games, and there was only a single one-point game in there.
Defense: Braedyn Mooney, Vernal Oilers
The second-year Oiler Mooney (‘04/Mesa, Ariz.) put up a 1-2-3 line in the Oilers’ only game that they played, a win which extended their streak to 10-0 overall out of the gate, the best winning streak of the season – and getting close to their 13-0 team record start of 2022-23.
Goaltender: Emmett Dixon, Bellingham Blazers
Dixon (‘04/Coquitlam, B.C.) was red-hot with a performance of stopping 36 of 37 shots to secure Bellingham a win against the first-year Bremerton Sockeyes on Oct. 19.
Selection Process: Divisional statistical leaders are presented to coaches, who are able to nominate and vote on alternate candidates.
