Week of Nov. 19, 2024
Games of Nov. 12-18, 2024
Forward: Jack DesRuisseaux, South Shore Kings
DesRuisseaux (‘04/Manchester, N.H.) posted identical 1-2-3 lines in back-to-back wins against the Boston Jr. Rangers, giving him six points in two games, which saw him share the league lead in points for the Nov. 12-18 period. The Sacred Heart University (NCAA Division I) recruit bypassed his 2023-24 point totals already, by putting up 20 points in 15 games and currently stands with 36 points in 38 career NCDC matches.
Defense: Lukas Eich, Northern Cyclones
Eich (‘05/Czechia) helped the Cyclones to three straight wins between Nov. 12 and 18, including two overtime victories. He posted a goal and added three assists over the three games, improving to eight points in 16 games this season, and his four goals are tied for second league-wide among defensemen. Eich joined this year from the Bishop’s College team in the CSSHL.
Goaltender: Prestyn Carter, Thunder Hockey Club
Carter (‘04/Macomb, Mich.) put up a victory – his second with the Thunder since joining the team by making his 23 saves on 24 shots to defeat the new Boston Dogs, who were playing in their first NCDC game. For the season, he is 4-2-0-0 with a .955 save percentage.
Rookie: Aidan Petroff, Northern Cyclones
Petroff (‘06/Natrona Heights, Pa.) kept up his hot pace over the last week, tying for the league lead in points for the week with a 1-5-6 line. He has now improved to 11 points in 10 games since he joined the Cyclones in late October.
Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
