NCDC Players Of The Week: Atlantic Division

Forward: Ryan Franks, P.A.L. Junior Islanders 

Franks (‘05/Roslyn, N.Y.) scored three goals and posted three assists for the Junior Islanders, putting in work to help the team secure two wins this week. Franks is in his second season in the NCDC. He has 30 career goals and 25 career assists over 74 games. 

 

Defense: Algirdas Jaras, P.A.L. Junior Islanders 

On the defense side for the Junior Islanders, Jaras (‘07/Lithuania) posted three assists to help the team with their two wins. Jaras is playing his first full season with the NCDC and the Junior Islanders. In seven games, he has four career assists. 

 

Goaltender: Ean Badgett, WBS Knights 

Badgett (‘04/Howell, Mich.) secured a 30-save shutout win for the WBS Knights on Dec. 6 in his first game with the team. Since Nov. 1 in the NCDC, he has a 3-1-0-0 record. This is his first career shutout. 

 

Rookie: Derek Tremblay, Jersey Hitmen 

Tremblay (‘05/Quebec City, Que.) earns the rookie of the week for the Atlantic Division after scoring two goals, including the game winning goal, for the Jersey Hitmen’s two games this week. The forward has played 22 games in his first season, with 12 total points, three of them game-winning goals

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
