NCDC Players Of The Week: Atlantic Division

Forward: Filip Tomiczek, Jersey Hitmen 

The Jersey Hitmen are on a four-game win streak, and Tomiczek (’04/Tvinec, Czechia) has been a key piece in their success this week, with four points across three goals and one assist. He has 17 points across 25 games in his first Premier season. He is a former All-Star with the Elmira Impact – a great example of USPHL Advancement In Action! 

 

Defense: Aiden Holland, P.A.L. Junior Islanders 

Holland (‘05/Topsfield, Mass.) helped the Junior Islanders win both games this week with one goal and two assists. He has 17 points in his second season with the team and 26 career points overall over 72 career games. 

 

Goalie: Lukas Vejmelka, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders 

Goaltender Vejmelka (‘04/Trebic, Czechia) went 2-0 for the Jr. Islanders this week, making 67 saves on 69 shots for a .971 save percentage and 1.00 goals against average. He is 11-2-0-2 in his first Premier season with two shutouts. He’s the fifth-best performing goalie in the NCDC this season with a 2.05 goals against average.

 

Rookie: Emil Szepesi, West Chester Wolves 

Forward Szepesi (‘06/Timra, Sweden) is on a seven-game points streak with the Wolves and earned the rookie Player of the Week nomination for his four points in the team’s two games this week, boosting him to become the franchise’s highest scorer this season. He has 22 points across 27 games and is the seventh highest-scoring rookie in the NCDC this season. 

Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
