Forward: Gregory Diamond, Mercer Chiefs
The third-year NCDC veteran Diamond (‘04/West Chester, Pa.) put up a pair of goals and added two assists for four points, including the GWG against the WBS Knights. He has a career high 38 points in 39 games and 66 points in exactly 100 regular season games. He played his 100th on Feb. 8 against the Jersey Hitmen. Diamond also had two assists in two NCDC All-Star Games.
Defense: Michael English, P.A.L. Jr. Islanders
English (‘04/Smithtown, N.Y.) registered a goal and added two assists to push his season total to 20 points, four times his 2023-24 point total. English is also one of the few remaining Jr. Islanders who were also on the 2023 Dineen Cup championship squad. He played in his 100th NCDC game on Jan. 31.
Goaltender: Jakub Kral, Connecticut Jr. Rangers
Kral (‘04/Czechia) went 2-1-0-0 during the past week, turning away 107 of 114 shots for a .939 save percentage. He stands at 9-9-1-0 with a .937 save percentage for the season since joining CJR in November.
Rookie: Samuel Ciappa, Mercer Chiefs
Another NCDC All-Star selection, Ciappa (‘05/Baldwinsville, N.Y.) put up a 2-2-4 line for four points in two games last week. He has improved to 46 points in 41 games for this season.
Selection Process: Team coaches first nominate players, the League sends back finalists, and coaches are then able to further vote on finalists or nominate other players.
