Forward: James Lyver, Worcester Railers JHC
Recent Connecticut College recruit Lyver (‘05/Grafton, Mass.) scored three goals and added three assists for a six-point run in two wins against the Boston Jr. Rangers and the league-leading South Shore Kings over the past week. Lyver now has 16 points in 17 games.
Defense: Brandon Hemmer, Seacoast Spartans
Hemmer (‘04/St. Cloud, Minn.) scored three goals and added four assists for seven points in three games, including a 1-4-5 line on Feb. 21 in a win against the Northern Cyclones. He now has nine points in 10 games since joining the Worcester Railers JHC.
Goaltender: Daniil Cepov, Seacoast Spartans
Cepov (‘06/Klaipeda, Lithuania) stopped 104 of 109 shots in just two games of up to 65 minutes. He shined brightly even beyond that when he stopped 21 of 23 shootout attempts in a win against the Utica Jr. Comets on Feb. 23. During regulation and overtime, he stopped 51 of 49 shots in the same game, and he stopped 55 of 58 against the Northern Cyclones in the Spartans’ Feb. 21 win. He holds a .913 save percentage for the season.
Rookie: Nikolas Reich, Boston Dogs
A longtime member of the New Jersey Jr. Titans AAA program, Reich (‘06/Sunrise, Fla.) joined the Dogs for 17 games after also playing 10 games for the Titans’ NAHL team earlier this year. He scored a 2-2-4 line to factor in on all of the offense for the Dogs in a close 6-4 loss to the Utica Jr. Comets on Feb. 18, and he now has 15 points in 17 NCDC games.
