Series HQ: Barrie vs. Niagara

(2) Barrie Colts (42-22-2-2) vs. (7) Niagara IceDogs (29-31-4-4)

The Colts enter a first round series against the IceDogs fresh off securing their first Central Division championship since 2018. Former IceDogs coach Marty Williamson leads a unique Barrie team into the postseason, one whose leading scorers had just 59 points, one being a blueliner in NHL Draft prospect Kashawn Aitcheson.

The IceDogs had a forgettable second half of the season after a promising start. Can they pick up the pieces, channel some of the first half energy and make this a series?
