The prospect that stood out the most in the first week of QMJHL action was Newfoundland Regiment forward Louis-François Bélanger.
The Matane, Quebec native ended opening weekend with two goals, two assists and a +1 rating in two games played.
Both of Bélanger’s goals proved to be the game-winners in what were the first two games played in Newfoundland Regiment history.
