2026 WHL Playoffs: Clinching Scenarios – Sunday, February 1

Calgary, Alta.- The Prince Albert Raiders can become the first squad to clinch a berth in the 2026 WHL Playoffs on Sunday night- but they’ll need some help from the out-of-town scoreboard.

The Eastern Conference leaders can punch their ticket to the postseason with:

  • Any win at Saskatoon; AND
A Red Deer loss of any kind at Vancouver
    OR
An overtime or shootout loss at Saskatoon; AND
A Red Deer regulation loss at Vancouver

Prince Albert (36-7-4-0) is on the hunt for a second consecutive East Division title and sits second in the league’s overall standings.

Led by hard-hitting captain Justice Christensen, the Raiders will look to avenge the sting of Saturday’s 4-0 loss to the rival Blades in a rematch in Saskatoon.

Puck drop at the SaskTel Centre is set for 4:00 p.m. ST.

On the west coast, the Rebels (16-27-2-2) will look for their first win of a daunting B.C. Division road trip as they roll into the Langley Events Centre to take on the Vancouver Giants (18-28-1-2) at 4:00 p.m. PST.
