Medicine Hat, Alta., – The Medicine Hat Tigers are proud to announce the signing of 2011-born defenceman Shane Regehr to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
“Shane is a strong defensive minded defenseman with excellent stick work and gap control.” said Assistant General Manager Bobby Fox. “He consistently blocks shots, wins battles along the boards, and plays a physical game that lays out opponents. He brings reliable, competitive 2-way play to the backend.”
Regehr was drafted by the Tigers in the third round (55th overall) of the 2026 WHL Prospects Draft. The 6-foot-2 defender tallied 15 points in 29 games for the Calgary Northstars U15 AAA during the 2025-26 season.
The Tigers are excited to welcome Shane to the organization and look forward to his continued development as part of Medicine Hat’s growing core of young talent.
