Niagara broke through with 6:26 left in the third period and won despite being outshot 33-25.

  • Ryerson Edgar led the way with a goal and two assists, netting the game-winner with 6:26 left in the third
  • Joey Banas scored his first as an IceDog, while Layne Gallacher and Reyth Smith also lit the lamp
  • Connor Haffner stopped 31 of 33 as Niagara improved to 5-3
  • Marc Ruggere scored his first OHL goal and Eamon Edgar also found the scoresheet as Barrie fell to 0-3 on the road

Kingston capped its weekend road trip with a two-goal win in Brantford.

  • Tomas Pobezal recorded two goals and an assist, while Alex Misiak added a goal and two helpers
  • Robin Kuzma added insurance in front of 24 saves from Matthew Minchak
  • The Frontenacs swept the trip with wins in Barrie, Brampton and Brantford to improve to 6-4
  • Camden McCuaig and Jack Torr scored the Brantford goals as the Bulldogs lost a second in a row

Ottawa was outshot 36-30 but got a 36-save shutout to blank Erie.

  • Jaeden Nelson stopped all 36 shots sent his direction
  • Nic Whitehead, Ondrej Ruml and Zach Houben scored the Ottawa goals
  • The 67’s extended their point streak to four games and improved to 4-1-2-0
  • Liam Karbowski made 27 saves for Erie, which sits at 4-3-1-0 and is still looking for its first win at home

Oshawa Generals vs. Windsor Spitfires

Final: 5 (OSH) – 1 (WSR)

Oshawa put four straight losses behind it with a four-goal win in Windsor.

  • Ryan Hedley scored his first OHL hat trick
  • Harrison Franssen and Brennan Huyck added goals, while Brooks Rogowski and Caden Taylor collected two assists apiece
  • Matthew Humphries stopped 23 of 24 for the win as the Generals improved to 4-5
  • Bogdan Yakushevsky scored Windsor’s lone goal, his sixth of the season, as the Spitfires fell to 3-4-1-0

Peterborough Petes vs. Soo Greyhounds

Final: 2 (PBO) – 1 (SOO) – OT

Peterborough tied it 16 seconds into the third period and won it 38 seconds into overtime to snap the Soo’s five-game winning streak.

  • Leon Kolarik scored 38 seconds into overtime for the winner
  • Cooper Dennis tied the score at one 16 seconds into the third period and assisted on the overtime goal
  • Matthew Koprowski stopped 20 of 21 for his first win with Peterborough, which improved to 3-6
  • Brady Smith scored the lone Greyhounds goal in front of 23 saves from William Camputaro as the Soo fell to 6-1-1-0

Kitchener Rangers vs. Saginaw Spirit

Saginaw got the game-winner from its hottest scorer and handed Kitchener a fourth straight loss.

  • Braidy Wassilyn scored twice, including the game-winner, to extend his goal-scoring streak to seven games and take sole possession of the OHL goal-scoring lead with nine
  • Brody Pepoy added a single and Dima Zhilkin finished with a goal and two assists
  • Tyler Martiniuk recorded two assists from the back end and Brady Knowling stopped 27 of 29 for the win as Saginaw improved to 3-2-2-0
  • Cameron Arquette scored shorthanded and added an assist for Kitchener

Sarnia Sting vs. Flint Firebirds

Flint went a perfect 3-for-3 on the power play to win a third straight.

  • Brady Smith scored twice on the man advantage as Flint finished 3-for-3 on the power play
  • Cooper Williams added a goal and two assists, while Luka Graziano, Xavier Tessier and Jimmy Lombardi rounded out the scoring
  • Bryson Morgan, Darian Anderson and Lucas Nutting each collected two assists in front of 34 saves on 38 shots from Mason Courville as Flint improved to 5-2
  • Easton Walos scored twice for Sarnia, with Parker Holmes and Tyler Challenger each adding a goal and an assist, as Ivan Tkach-Tkachenko’s shutout streak ended just one minute into the game

Guelph Storm vs. Owen Sound Attack

Final: 10 (GUE) – 5 (OS)

The two clubs combined for 10 goals in the second period alone as Guelph outgunned Owen Sound.

  • Vladimir Dravecky recorded two goals and three assists from the blue line, while Ryan Roobroeck scored twice and Owen Griffin racked up four assists
  • Adrien Bartovic scored his first OHL goal, and Noah Jenken and Jaakko Wycisk each scored their first of the season
  • Guelph outshot Owen Sound 46-34, went 3-for-6 on the power play and stretched its winning streak to six to improve to 6-2
  • Defenceman Benson Hirst made his OHL debut for Guelph after spending last season with the WHL’s Moose Jaw Warriors
  • Max Delisle was a bright spot for the Attack with two goals and an assist as Owen Sound fell to 2-6 heading into four straight on the road
