USHL Chicago Steel Make Coaching Change

The USHL’s Chicago Steel are making changes at the top of the organization. Head coach and general manager Scott McConnell will no longer be with the team moving forward.

McConnell lead the Steel to a 17-19-3 record so far in the 2014-2015 season, and a career record of 100-124-16 during his five year tenure.

Taking over for McConnell is Dan Boeser, who is in his first season as an assistant coach for the Steel. Boeser went to Chicago after spending the previous two seasons as an assistant coach in the Minnesota High School system, a large feeder of players to the USHL.

Boeser will make his head coaching debut with Chicago at home against the Lincoln Stars tomorrow night.
