SUDBURY, Ont. – The Northern Ontario Junior Hockey League announced Friday the release of its 2016-17 regular season schedule.
The 324-game slate will see each of the 12 NOJHL member clubs skating in 54 contests apiece with 27 being at home and another 27 on the road.
The 2016-17 regular season will get underway on Friday, Sept. 9 on five fronts with the Espanola Express, Elliot Lake Wildcats, Kirkland Lake Gold Miners, Cochrane Crunch and Soo Eagles all skating in their home openers.
One night later, the defending NOJHL champion Soo Thunderbirds will play their initial home contest of the campaign at Essar Centre.
